Lady GaGa's Style Started Long Ago...

On Sunday night, I found myself flipping through the channels becoming increasingly annoyed because there is never anything on television.  Well, for some odd reason I stopped on the movie Beetlejuice that I used to watch when I was a kid.  I had forgotten about all the outlandish fashion in the movie! I realized that Lady GaGa's fashion sense was outdone long ago by Winona Ryder and Catherine O'Hara in Beetlejuice.  O'Hara donning a leather glove head band and Ryder wearing a big floppy hat with a black lacy veil had me realizing that maybe Lady GaGa got most of her ideas from this particular movie!

Haha! Love this. It's odd how we can spot past influences in current celeb style. This post is such a great example!

I re-saw that movie just a few months ago and agree that the fashion in it was fun. A little self-mocking perhaps, but fun.

I love that last photo of Lydia. Seriously, movies from the 80's/early 90's had the most outrageous fashion sense.

Oh my gosh I totally forgot about that. Gaga is totally a remake of beetlejuice style. And I was thinking, finally something different. I'm a little creeped out now. Maybe her next style will be shrinking her head eek.

my socks are from ASOS - they deliver to the US but I'd try looking somewhere local to you as they are pretty common. They were £6. xx
