I am sorry that I am posting so late today!! The Hubs and I have been crazy busy all weekend and I just got down to makeup business.
I found this particular look on Urban Decay's website that you can find HERE.  It is a mod, 60's look with a little disco sprinkled on top!! It is a heavy turquoise eyelid with a pinky glittery color on the upper lid.  I hope you guys enjoy and let me know what you think!!

Makeup Mondays - Mint for you Eyes Tutorial

I adore using green eyeshadows!  I love to play up my eyes by adding pops of green with my copper hair, but any eye and hair color can pull this sassy look off!  This particular makeup look was inspired by the Holiday catalog by BeBe that I was thumbing through over the holidays.  I couldn't wait to make this video and share it with you all.

Here is the picture that inspired my tutorial.

And here it is!! I have decided to name it Mint for You Eyes. I thought it to be very fitting.  Let me know how you guys like it.  I love to hear your comments, suggestions, and feedback in general.

Here are the pictures for Wednesday's hair tutorial!

I just ordered a new palette from Urban Decay that features 15 new colors!!!!! I am so excited I can barely stand it!! So, I will have something crazy fun for us next Monday!

Makeup Mondays - My Favorite Lip Gloss

I got a new Flip video recorder for Christmas and I am still figuring out how I am going to set it up so I will FOR SURE have a new makeup video next Monday! So, this week I am sharing with you all my favorite lip glosses. I am a lipgloss fanatic because I have extremely chapped lips at all times but you know I can't go without lipstick and lip gloss!
So without further ado, here they are!

This is Too Faced Lip Gloss in Don't Hate Me. It is extremely natural looking and you can put it over anything.  I probably use this one more than any other lip gloss I own!

Another favorite pick is the NYX lip gloss in RLG 13 Peach.  It is extremely sparkly!! You know how I love sparkles! It is also more of a coral tint which I love to wear with my new hair color.

Next up is my new MAC Dazzleglass in Love Alert! It is super shiny AND it is a red/coral tint as well as extremely vibrant!! I like to put this one over red lipstick.

My last lip gloss pic is the MAC Lipglass in Viva Glam Cyndi!! I have the lipstick too! It is the most pigmented lip gloss I have ever owned! It is a nice color for a punchy day time lip!

Next Monday we will be doing this look with the mint green eyes and peachy lips that I found in the new BeBe catalog!!! So stay tuned!!

Makeup Mondays Presents Holiday Sparkle

Since this week is Holiday themed I decided to do a fun glitzy look that I came across while thumbing through the Sephora holiday catalog.  I love this look because it has such a glamorous striking effect and the cherry lips really set it all off. Perfect for the Christmas week, no!??
I am not sure if any of you will notice, but yes I did change my hair color last week and don't worry I will be doing a post on it this week!

Makeup Mondays Presents The Betty

I am so excited for this week's Makeup Monday tutorial! Since I have been so inspired lately by the Mad Men series, I decided to go for a 50's retro glam look.  I decided I would called it "The Betty" after the lovely Betty Draper who dons the beautiful red lipped, 50's house wife look.  I thought it would help inspire some of you with your holiday and new year's parties that are just around the corner!!
I hope you all find the lighting a bit better in this video and I worked on keeping the time down better! But you know I am still up for hearing your comments and suggestions, so feel free!
I also had to let you guys know that after my husband watched my video, he noticed that in the left corner, my dog, Frank was laid out taking a nap. You can see his big ol' head asleep.  It's pretty noticeable once he said it, so I thought I would give you all a heads up.  I think you can see him better once I come back for blush and lips! It's pretty funny acutally! I hope you all enjoy!
Happy Monday!

5 Essential Makeup Brushes for Every Gal

As requested by my lovely friend and follower Brett at Silvergirl, here are the 5 essential makeup brushes that I absolutely CANNOT live without! I use these 5 brushes on an almost daily basis.

1. Blending Brush - Every makeup lover needs a good, dependable blending brush whether you wear intense eye makeup looks or natural ones. A blender is a must have!  My personal favorite is the MAC #222.($29)

2. Foundation Brush - my top pick is my MAC #190.  It is a little on the pricey side ($32 to be exact), but I have had this brush for about a year now and it is still in great shape! Just remember to wash your foundation brush (and all your makeup brushes) on a weekly basis. I use baby shampoo because it is gentle yet still effective in getting all the makeup and bacteria out.

3.  Small flathead brush - I use this brush every single day whether I am doing an intense eye look or a quick one shadow natural look. ( I don't do the latter very often, but every now and then) The particular flathead brush that I have is from Sonia Kashuk as well.

4. Angle eyeliner brush - this type of brush is essential in getting all kinds of different eye looks.  You can use it get a thin line or to smudge out your eyeliner for a smokier effect.  My favorite pick is the MAC #266. ($19)

5Medium-sized blush brush - I love my Sonia Kashuk blush brush that I  bought from Target a few months back.  Not only is it a fabulous blush brush, it is price friendly!($10.99)

Since this is Makeup Monday, I will be posting a tutorial later today!! It will be a 50's retro glam look that is perfect for a holiday party look! Since I have been so inspired by the Mad Men series lately, I have decided to call this look "The Betty."
Here is the look we will do today so stay tuned and check back!! Love you all!

MakeUp Tutorial - Coppering Eyes

This is my very first make up tutorial!! I am super excited to share it with you all.  I have wanted to do one for a while, but kept putting it off and finally it has arrived.  I have slowly made friends with IMovie so I will probably be posting more and more videos in the near future.  Now, I want to know all of your thoughts and opinions on this video.  Please don't hesitate to tell me what you guys think.  I do realize it is rather long, and that is definitely something I am going to work on for the next one! I am going to try to do one make up tutorial a week and start uploading them all to my own YouTube Channel.  So without further ado, here it is!!  And please subscribe to my YouTube Channel HERE too!! I will be uploading many more tutorials on a weekly basis!!

Smoke Out

HERE ARE THE TOOLS THAT I USE:

ON YOUR WAY TO THE SMOKIES:

1. After priming (always prime!!) with Urban Decay Eye Potion in Sin, cover lid and crease with a shimmery silver color - I like MAC Electra.

2. Take a brush and dip into a dark charcoal gray like Urban Decay Zero (tap brush to get off excess powder), and run back in forth from inner crease to outer crease.  I give it about 3-4 coats of shadow depending on how dramatic you are wanting to go.

3. Always highlight with a shimmery white or bone color shadow (I always use Urban Decay Sellout). I dip my pinky finger into my shadow and put it in the inner corners of my eyes and right below my brow bone.

4. Line inner rims (yes top and bottom, trust me) with BLACK charcoal eyeliner.  I use Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliner in Stingray.

5.  Go over charcoal liner on top with a black liquid liner to keep liner in place all day and night (My fav is Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner in Black). This is also where you can flick your liquid liner out and up from your outer corner to get your cat-eye effect.  I don't advise this for you newbies because it can get very dramatic looking!

6. Finish with 3, yes 3! coats of black volumizing mascara (I like good old Loreal Voluminous Original in Blackest Black).

7. You are ready to hit the town ladies! Oh yeah, and don't forget your lipstick of course (I recommend a soft neutral shade such as Mac Myth since we want to let the eyes do the talking)!
