Makeup Mondays Presents The Betty

I am so excited for this week's Makeup Monday tutorial! Since I have been so inspired lately by the Mad Men series, I decided to go for a 50's retro glam look.  I decided I would called it "The Betty" after the lovely Betty Draper who dons the beautiful red lipped, 50's house wife look.  I thought it would help inspire some of you with your holiday and new year's parties that are just around the corner!!
I hope you all find the lighting a bit better in this video and I worked on keeping the time down better! But you know I am still up for hearing your comments and suggestions, so feel free!
I also had to let you guys know that after my husband watched my video, he noticed that in the left corner, my dog, Frank was laid out taking a nap. You can see his big ol' head asleep.  It's pretty noticeable once he said it, so I thought I would give you all a heads up.  I think you can see him better once I come back for blush and lips! It's pretty funny acutally! I hope you all enjoy!
Happy Monday!

Lovely tutorial and will take the tip on using black powder/shadow to create the wing.
I adore Mad Men, and you are definitively channeling Joan not Betty ;)

By the way, my boyfriend is still trying to decide what Hollywood star you look like...he's terrible at celebrity names *sigh* :)

I love Mac! for concealer, but i use Neutrogena blush...this applying make-up is hard for me...I will print the brushes post for my sake so i will buy them!=) thanks Angela=)

  10. Great tutorial Angela, I always attempt to do different make up looks but somehow they never work out. I'm definitely going to try this because I love the Marilyn look, absolutely showstopping.

Btw Ashley over at www.twoeyesinthemirror.blogspot.com is creating a guest post group to enhance the blogging community (she explains everything over at her blog), anyway she invited me and told me to ask any other great bloggers...of course I invited you.
